As well as providing products for use in-house (e.g Small Business Server, SQL Server and Exchange etc), we have, for several years now also provided a range of products that work over the Internet without the need for dedicated on-premise hardware. As technology is advancing and broadband is improving there are more options that make it easier and more efficient to work from anywhere - whether it's accessing your email or company data or making a phone call from the office even though you're on the other side of the world. However, don't be confused into thinking that this mysterious 'Cloud' thing is new - it's just evolving and improving. Many companies have had websites and email for years without the need for dedicated hardware at their own offices. This is cloud computing so you've probably been using it for years already. Our Cloud solutions cover a range of subjects from email to phones to file sharing and backups. Our newest addition is CHDCloud Backup, Share and TeamShare - These tools provide simple ways to backup your data as you work and provide the easiest way available today to share files between different computers and colleagues - no matter where you're located, and, even if you're offline! Our FAQ helps answer some of the questions you may have and oultines the pros and cons of Cloud Computing. As with all solutions that we provide, they are either an Industry Standard or a product that we use ourselves. If you have any additional questions just give us a bell - we'd be happy to answer any questions. More information can be found in our Knowledgebase , you can also read our Case Studies or download our CHDCloud PDF Brochure Backup | Share | TeamShare | VoIP | Web Hosting | Exchange | SharePoint | Sage BackupOne of the biggest issues with Sage is backing it up. Most companies will be familiar with the process of making sure everyone is logged out of Sage, running a data check and then backing up Sage. Using our solution you can backup Sage throughout the day, even when staff are logged in. Data is checked and then encrypted in a secure backup. If you have a problem you can go back to the most recent backup (we suggest every 3 hours for most installations). If you've ever had to re-unput an entire days accounts all over again you'll know just how useful this will be. It's not expensive either, starting from just £15 a month
CyclopsWaiting for something to happen on your system isn’t the best approach.Your servers are complex pieces of technology, often managing your email, shared files, and software packages while also running antivirus and backing up your data. Do you know if all of these processes are running as they should? Has your backup been successful and is your data safe? Cambridge Helpdesk monitors client servers as a standard part of our support service. We can also offer this as a service to any business, extending the monitoring to your user's computers and laptops too. Very few IT departments (let alone IT Support companies) have monitoring systems in place - we on the other hand think that this is an essential part of a decent IT system. Our Cyclops Monitoring and Asset Tracking system will alert you and us via an email if something is not right (as well as display alerts on our dashboard at our Helpdesk) - before it becomes critical. For example if available disk space drops below a set threshold; if someone is trying to hack into your system; if Anti-Virus software has failed to update; if your website is experiencing problems or if a backup has failed overnight. Cyclops will keep an eye on your system and alert us to all of these and many more. If you have a support contract with Cambridge Helpdesk then we will automatically look into the issue, if you are a pay as you go customer then all you need to do is email support@cambridgehelpdesk.com and we will look into it on your request. Contact us at sales@cambridgehelpdesk.com or call 01223 755999 for more information or for a free trial IT SupportSupporting company networks and users is a major part of what we do at Cambridge Helpdesk. Whether you're a company with two staff working from home or a larger business spread across multiple-sites with remote workers and servers we can support your business and will tailor the service to meet your exact needs. We operate a highly effective Helpdesk system for logging support calls and at any point users can login and check progress or refer back to a problem and it's solution, long after an issue has been resolved. Support requests can be logged directly online or emailed to support@cambridgehelpdesk.com. All support tickets are monitored by our support staff, where they're responded to within a few minutes. This system helps us to efficiently manage multiple tasks and record all activity. Feel free to test us out by e-mailing us an IT query. We support businesses with IT, Telecoms and Web issues throughout East Anglia from our base in the centre of Ely. Anti-Virus and SecurityIt's essential that up to date Anti-Virus is installed on every PC, Laptop and Server connected to the Internet. The importance of Anti-Virus is clear when you consider that more than 25,000* new threats are discovered each day - and that number continues to grow. There's also a new breed of threat on the Internet, such as carefully planned targeted attacks that can pass through conventional security solutions unnoticed, possibly taking over your computer for illegal purposes. It used to be the case that most viruses were sent via email attachments. Now that email systems are much better at handling and filtering, the web criminals have got smarter. All you need to do is click on a link in an email; open an attachment; accept an invitation on a social networking site or Instant Messenger or simply visit a website in order to activate and load a virus. That virus can then do a huge amount of damage to your system by slowing it down, deleting files, obtaining personal information or simply using your system as platform for sending out Spam via your Internet service.
